Hi, my name is Annette Lilley. I believe that by understanding why we think, feel and behave as we do we can then start to make positive changes leading to an increase in peace, contentment and happiness. I have over 10 years experience of working collaboratively with teenagers and adults to bring about positive changes in mood and behaviour.
I work in an integrative way so that I can incorporate different therapeutic models into my work. This means that I can be flexible in the way that I work with you depending on your preferences and personal goals.
I qualified as an Integrative Counsellor (DipHE University of Birmingham) in 2007 and began counselling in Birmingham, working with adults 1:1. In 2008 I began counselling teenagers in a Secondary School in Birmingham delivering counselling 1:1 as well as counselling groups. As part of my training I became interested in Mindfulness and have completed training in the Therapeutic Application of Mindfulness with the British Mindfulness Institute in 2015. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and continue to practice counselling in Birmingham and Solihull.
I have delivered assemblies to students and training in schools to staff and trainee teachers about developing and maintaining positive mental health and emotional wellbeing, both for themselves and for the staff and for students.
I am particularly interested in working with adults and young people that struggle with anxiety, low mood, depression and stress.
I am based at the Meridian Centre:
834 Yardley Wood Road
